Decapitate Publication Contract

Thanks for submitting your work to Decapitate, Third Estate Art’s online art and social justice magazine. We’re dedicated to bringing you exciting work that grapples with systemic issues and argues for progressive change.

Please sign below to indicate that you agree to the following terms of publication:

1. You agree to let Third Estate Art publish your submission on our website thirdestateart.org, where it will remain indefinitely.

2. You also agree to the possibility of your work being published in a “Best of…” print zine.

3. You own the rights to this work. It’s okay if this work has appeared online or in print before, as long as you have the rights to republish it. If you’re not 100% sure, please check with the original publication before signing this contract.

4. You will retain all rights to your work, and you may republish it elsewhere if you like.

5. Visitors may post comments and discuss your work. We encourage you to engage with them on the website if you’d like, but you’re not obligated to.

6. Please know that we care about you and your work. All comments will be reviewed by our moderator before they are posted. We do not under any circumstances allow racist, misogynist, sexual, or otherwise offensive comments on our website.

7. Payment will be $25 sent by Zelle, Venmo, or Paypal when your content is published. We use Paypal exclusively if you’re outside the United States.
