Jarvis Square Music + Arts Festival - 12:00 to 9:00 PM, Saturday-Sunday on August 3-4

TEA will have a tent and be selling both baked goods and crafts. Hit up our bake sale to help support upcoming programming, including Sashes Not Fascists, and hit up the crafts to support the artists of TEA you know and love.

Rogers Park Clean Up IV - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 24

Pick up garbage and meet your neighbors. This time, we’re headed north of Howard, an area of RP that doesn’t get a lot of love. (But we do!) Bags and gloves will be provided. Meet at the Juneway/Hermitage corner of Trianle Park, kitty-corner from the Howard Gardens. Then we'll work our way down to Howard and end with some coffee at Sol Cafe.

Sashes Not Fascists: A Chicago Women's Health Center teach-in with protest crafts - 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 25

Sashes Not Fascists will feature a Chicago Women's Health Center teach-in about gender expression and reproductive health care rights, as well as a protest sash-making workshop led by artist Kate Pritchard.

Art Camp at Pottawattomie Park - Monday through Friday on August 26-30

We’ll be teaching a comprehensive workshop that takes kids through the entire artistic process, from developing an idea to launching an art show. The theme is flag making. Kids will learn about how flags have historically been used to represent individual and group ideals, and then make flags that represent them and their hopes for the future. If you’re a kid or a caregiver to a kid ages 6-13, register for Art Camp through the Chicago Park District.

Artists and activists will use 10-20 minutes to present their work on the theme of education, followed by a whole-group question and answer session. Stayed tuned for lineup and ticket details!

Greenleaf Art Center’s Fall Show Opening - 6:00-9:00 PM on Friday, October 4

TEA will be hosting a bake sale table at this super fun event. Stop by for some of John-Michael’s famous zucchini bread and help support our programming.

Haunted House Building - 10:00 AM - TBD on Saturday, October 19

This will be our second year helping Pottawattomie Park build a haunted house for the kiddos to enjoy. Last year featured a lot of spooky trees, eyeballs, and red lights. We can’t wait to design this year’s theme.

Halloween Mask Painting for Families - 11:00 AM-2:00 PM on Saturday, October 26

We’ll be wearing fun costumes and helping kids and their caregivers paint wooden masks for Halloween. There will also be haunted house tours (built by TEA and the Pottawattomie Park Advisory Council), and maybe a bouncy house.

Holiday Shop and Drop - Time TBD on Friday, December 13

Parents can drop kids off after school to do holiday shopping or just enjoy a night out. We’ll provide crafts that can double as presents for the family.
