A Poem by Colin James

EVENTUALLY EVERYTHING BECOMES ALL OF THAT

Let us pause in our creation of dust.
Lead us all down a long hallway
to a cave of awarded ornaments
coming at you emphatically.
Dear lab coats, a cupped hand palm up,
inspiring the already flightless.
No one is displaying new dance step yet,
drab cats are confident not.
Old professors, really old professors
have been manhandled and muzzled
with the comfort me, Cock.
Endangered?
The Lynx is already extinct.

Colin James has a book of poems RESISTING PROBABILITY from Sagging Meniscus Press. He lives in Massachusetts.
